Seriously, I saw this brown rex and absolutely fell in love. I have been looking at painting a brown, but could never find the right color. Does anyone have any idea the color code? It was originally posted on a blog, and he only said "chocolate/rootbeer"

Looks like a House of Kolors candy rootbeer with either a orion silver or solar gold base.

The new nissan cube comes in a brown color seen one the other day and fell in love with the color, still an ugly car but am seriously debating painting my car this color.... They have another lighter goldish brown that looks pretty nice too.

 

what color wheels go with a brown car would bronze be to close of shade?

 

Wow that brown is sexxxxyyy, I was thinking about the GTR gray I love that color. Gonna repaint in the near future.

 

I love that! IMO theres no such thing as a 'bad' paint color, anything looks good as long as its well taken care of and buffed enough to bring out the characteristics of the color

Wow that z3 brown looks good. I originally wanted another coupe just like yours, but alwasy thought the brown I want may not look right. For the darker shades In my mind the longer curvier body of the ej1 wouldnt sit right, so when I saw it on a crx it was in my mind done. As far as wheels, you can always go black, certain shades of pink, certain shades of green, personally i want that darker (like the cube!) brown with a lighter leather brown engine bay. My car needs to look like it was sponsored by better homes magazine lol

 

07/08 element SC's had the root beer metallic, which i did my car. paint code-YR569M

 

That does look good, Ive never seen that on any elements before though. I havent ever seen the cube brown either. Do you have any more pics of your car?! ***** THAT **** OUT

I have a bunch of pics there. Its a very hard color to capture. If the suns not blazing, its pretty much doo doo brown, but when the sun is out, its kinda like holding a coke bottle up in the sun. alot of red, and copper tones come out. this pic is the closest ive gotten the true color. Its one you gotta see in person to really see the true color.

 

I was going to try and drive by nissan or honda today to see if they had any cubes/elements in the brown Im lookin for. I love your valve cover, I either want my entire bay to be more of a wood or leather brown. I love the accented engine bays lol. If i pick up this crx this weekend im going to spend the week prepping it and then off to paint the following week.

 

lol thats rex is actually a pretty cool color...i like it

 

The rootbeer color only came on the Element SC btw, which also easily stands out because of it's different wheels.

 

just when i thought i had my color picked out! "canteen green" you all pull this sexy color out...nothing is ever easy~!

 

those elements are a rare breed... Ive only seen one once, and it was after I painted my car.

 

that would explain how there were none on the lot.. haha well off to nissan next. Im 50/50 on going an oem color code.. Only reason that is leaning me towards doing it is the readily availability of touch up paint.

 

with those brown cubes those, with the google pictures in certain lighting it has hues on purple in it. I think its one of those things thats best stated above: photos dont capture the true nature of the color. Question of the day: will my pink gt3s look good with the brown.

got a really good deal on brand new in the box gt3's I couldnt pass up. Im looking to do something else, or really something thats been done less I should say. Royal pink wheels on a poop brown car, hell yeah Ill get made fun of a lot. But you know what, Itll have my 450whp turbo single cam, so I can do whatever I want lol.



..plus if the wheels look too bad, Ill just paint em!
