Popping out of 2nd
I have a newer built transmission on my d16, it was built by aquafina, it has a quaife LSD, m factory fd and 1st gear. It's a y8 transmission. Anyways, I took my hatch to the track, it was going well, I was just messing around on street tires, well i hit 2nd on one pass and it popped out of 2nd. I was able to shift back into 2nd and finish that pass. When I got back to the pits I popped my hood and started looking, I found a pretty badly torn hasport mount insert, so I wrote the gear popping out off as being caused by the mount. I stopped running that night and cruised home, it did try to pop out once or twice on the way home, only out of 2nd.
Well I get new mounts, took the car for a ride and put it into 2nd and it popped right out. Fluid level is right, doesn't grind going into gear. It will drive fine in 2nd and only pop out if I try to like pop the throttle, but if I accelerate smoothly it will stay in gear just fine all the way to redline and 20+ lbs of boost.
Sounds crazy but could I have bent the linkage or something? It doesn't seem plausible to be but I have no idea.

How long ago did Aquafina assemble this? Could just be the bell housing countershaft bearing working its way back out (hard to control what they do even when staked). Could be a worn c-clip countershaft bearing, too.
