i notice my spark plug wire,the one that goes into the dizz, keeps poping off after driving for a while.I found this out because one day i was at a stop light. My car was idling funny, so when i got home i did a little investigation lol. well thats what i found, pushed it back in and started ran fine. then two days later does it again, so i try to open the spark plug wire end a little...as far as i could until it didnt fit into the dizzy, and it still happen the next day. This didnt happen until i bought a new dizzy. My wires are fairly new so i dont think it is those.
anyone ever notice this?


and it only happens to that one at the top.

 

I had this problem when I purchased my 98 Civic EX. The Cap and wires were aftermarket. I replaced both with OEM and haven't had a problem.

 

msd wires are known for popping off.

 

i will try new wires any recommends?

its just rubber, zip ties are your friend

I was going to suggest RTV silicone or superglue, but zip ties are a good idea.

 

Hmm... Ive had MSD wires in my DelSol since I did the swap. (3 years ago) Never popped off on me....

sometimes the wire can get to bunched up in there.. what i've done is pull the red wire back some. and pull the gray tip forward. if that makes any sense.

but, i believe OEM is best. thats what im running now.

Expand the end of the wire so it fits snug into the cap

Its not brain surgery to get a wire to stay on...

I had an issue with my Accel wires fitting on my aftermarket (Beck Arnley) cap. It just didn't feel tight like I wanted. I pushed the wire out to jam the wire in all the way. It kind of clicks in there. Then I push the boot on. It was pretty simple...

 

NGK Blue's are nice wires.
