I did 2 3/4 piping with high flow cat to a magnaflow muffler. Looks factory and sounds clean and deep. Doesn't sound like a fart can at all like 95% of every other hondas on the street lol. I'll get the series and post what it is.

That's the problem. NO one knows what YOU think sounds "too loud". Take your fingers over to Youtube and type in Civic exhaust and listen.

Or you can do a search and read all the other eleventy-billion posts JUST LIKE THIS that have been made with the same answers each and every time.

rsr ex mag- pretty good muffler, but almost impossible to find

es tuning/vibrant mufflers-both are kinda same thing, looks pretty stock and pretty cheap, but you will need to build it... if your looking at that route look up kteller, as he offers kits on the site

tanabe touring medallion- had one on a del sol so i can attest as to how nice these are. does not need a silencer and is under 95 dbs, but they are getting harder to find

thermal R&D also makes some nice exhuasts and have a kinda unique sound imo

apexi noir or ws2 are also known for not being incredibly too loud and/or cop attracters

those will at least get you started on your search

yonaka cat back, its pretty much a apexi ws2 at a much cheaper price. fitment is bang on i just put one on my hatch about 2 months ago and i love it. there is some drone in the car but it's not too loud at all. cost me about 350 bucks shipped to my door and it's 304 polished stainless and 60mm piping approx 2 3/8"

The issue with listening to the sound of mufflers on youtube is systems sound different with a turbo or with an NA motor. And you can't really tell the volume. How far away the camcorder is, their volume, your volume effect it. And few people rev the motor out to where you usually get drone or buzz.

You could find a RSX-S or ITR muffler. OEM but it will look a little different, flow better, and still be pretty quiet.

EBay/Mugen twin loop sounds...different.

The Apexi WS2 and the Yonaka are very similar. I've had both. They're quiet, pretty smooth but at high RPM you get a little drone and around 3k you will probably get a little buzz. Fit is excellent on both. The Apexi tucks up nicer, the Yonaka hangs down just a little on the straight back part, but it's not going to be an issue unless you're slammed. I got my Yonaka for 260 shipped off eBay a while back and I'd have been willing to pay more if I knew how well it would fit and sound.

One issue with the Apexi and Yonaka is the tips. They're a little large for my taste, but a turn down could easily be fitted. And the Yonaka 2/4 door version is more made for 2 doors. I have it on a 4 door and it fits ok, but I had to pull the hangers back all the way, so I just recommend installing the system from the rear to front.
