Default Squeaking from right rear after installation of Eibach Pro Dampers.

1994 Civic with Eibach Pro Kits and original Honda OEM dampers. Around 352,000 miles brand new Eibach Pro Dampers 4017.840 were installed by a local tire shop before the car was aligned.

Afterwards a loud squeaking sound from the right rear can be heard, even when rolling at a snail's pace when the damper isn't being compressed. The tire shop reinstalled the dampers but the sound is still there.

Took it to a dealer and they said the trailing arm bushings needed replacement. The sound still remains after the bushings were replaced.

When I push the rear of the car down the squeak can be heard from within and outside the car.

Any ideas?

Check all bushings. Including the LCAs.

Check the lower control arm bushings. A lot of times people do not clock the bushings, and tear them.

I know for a fact almost all shops do not do this.

This exact same thing happened to me when I had my Eibach pro-dampers and Eibach Sportline springs installed by a shop. I was convinced it was a defective damper, turns out the dummies didn't trim the bumpstops on the damper properly. Trim both rear bumpstops about 1/2 inch. Give that a shot should do the trick :thumbup"
