Will this intake arm fit my air box?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BC-94...54052600464981
In my DC2R. I wish to keep my comptech ice box, and just buy an intake pipe that leads into the box and replace the OEM rubber pipe. The seller says no but i'm not sure whether i believe him or not.
And here is my engine bay:

opinions from anyone with experience buy doing the same thing would be great. Anyone else think that i might not be too bad of a fit?
Thanks

if you want a better intake arm get a samco, otherwise the stock rubber one is best to reduce heat. same your money for a better mod that will actually help

Several years ago I found an enexpensive intake and filter on Ebay, similar to this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA...item5ae2904a3b
I wanted the 3" intake pipe and had a K&N filter that fit a stock box. The filter, like OEM, has a bend in the connector stub, making the box end bend of the intake pipe in the way. I measured and cut off the intake to length with a bandsaw. I got a 3" silicone connector for the Tb end to connect to a 3" billet Tb, external. On the cut off box end I used the cut off end of an OEM rubber intake that fit 3" OD intake very tightly and of course fit the OEM type filter in the box, about 3.25". I got the old used OEM intake almost free with purchase of some other parts at a local yard, so possible to return to stock. If you look in the box end of the set up you can trim the metal intake to about the far end of the circumferential rings of the OEM. You would have to use a connector there anyway. Fit very tight and flush. You need to verify that you have the correct sizes, in my case 3" OD metal intake and find the correct intake to Tb connector. Probably supplied for a stock Tb.

The samco intake has to be the worst looking intake in the history of Integras. Even the black one just looks like a ball of electrical tape with a samco sticker on it. The whale ***** thing is a close second though. Save your $100+...

If you want my old fabricated aluminum intake pipe, you can pay for the shipping and it's your's. It's a $30 intake pipe like the one in the ebay ad you posted, but I've already cut it down to work with the OEM filter (or Comptech filter with optional elbow). The pipe is Thermo-tec wrapped and includes t-bolt clamps and a Turbo Hoses 3" to 3.25" coupler to slip over the OEM filter.
The only things you'll need to buy are a 3" to 2.75" or 3" coupler (depending on the TB you have) to join the throttle body to the intake pipe, and a 3/8" hose for the PCV fresh air hose.
