Ordered some new tires
Since my old Fuzions zri's that were on the car got chewed pretty bad at Expo I had been browsing the net trying to find tires. Now I dont trive the car daily so I had made up my mind I wanted a grippier tire.
Anyways I found a deal on R888 on ebay. There was a vendor on thier selling them for $155 shipped for a pair (2). So I ordered 3 pairs ( a set for me and a pair for my brother)
any ways pic's (delivered yesterday)

I'll probably have them mounted in a few weeks before the winter.

I found a vendor on ebay selling these tires a pair for $139 but shipping was not mentioned. The ad mentions the tires were produced in 2009, I remember America's tire company telling me there is a limitation as to age of tire they can mount, would 2 years be in that range?

I don't drive the car during the winter. My initial plans were to have them as "Summer Tires". And to be perfectly honest I wouldn't have bought them if they had not been so cheap. Sorry when I wrote noob I was referring to track time. I should have stated novice.
I know, I was talking track time too. A track noob should never ever be on R conmps for saftey and learning purposes.
So you know, cold/freezing weather whether the car is being driven or not will turn those soft tires hard and they will be ruined forever. Unless your garage is heated put that car on jack stands and take the tires inside for the winter. Were you planning on driving on the street with these?

Those tires are very "streetable". But, yeah, they are more sensitive to temperature changes. Of course, that really only matters if you're trying to maximize their performance (ie, on track, measuring lap times). Have no fear, you can let your car sit on those R888s for a year (in the cold) and your ITR will get you to the milk store in the spring without killing you. There are cheaper tires that can do the same, too, but they don't look as cool. As far as starting tracking on R888s, I don't think it's a big deal. High performance summer tires offer almost as much grip as those tires on the track, so it's not like you're starting on "racing slicks". YMMV.
