Is it ok to switch from a D15b7 to a D15b2 for a 1994 Civic DX?

Is it ok to switch from a D15b7 to a D15b2 for a 1994 Civic DX?
I have a 1994 Dx that I have gotten several choices to choose from in engines. This particular engine I am looking at is the D15b2 out of a 1990 civic hatch and am looking to put it in a 1994 civic DX coupe. I wasn't sure if it would work since the ecu codes are completely. Would it be ok?

The ECU codes? What's that? Leave the OBD0 stuff aline. Especially if your state frowns upon older engines into newer chassis.
Why don't you put a Z6 or a B16 into it?

I would love to put a b16 or a z6 into it but right now i just need a running car to go to work in back. lol. i have essentially a shell plus tranny because the motor i have now has a knocking rod in it that i have no idea how to fix. so...

Will be fine. The only real difference is the fan switch location. The old motor is on the back of the block, new motor is on the thermostat housing. Just swap over intake/exhaust manifold from the B7 to the B2.
