Default B20vtec - my first build - looking for some feedback

I bought my 97 ek in january and have been working on it ever since, i started by doing a 2000 si front end with 2000 si interior, seats, doors, dash and all. I was unsure what motor to go with at first so i bought a b20 and said hell with it why not just throw something together quick and we all know how that goes. My OCD shined through and i ended up buying every single bolt and part brand new, so here it goes.

B20b
Skunk2 intake mani
rc 270's
66mm skunk2 tb
GSR head with stage3 crower valve train
LSD GSR tranny
aem fuel rail
type r pully
true RMF headers
and much more

let me know some feed back, im starting to build my EF too so maybe ill post some pictures of that.

looks nice....but you might want to scrap that aluminum crank pulley for a OEM one or a ATI/fluidampr unless you feel like replacing oil pump every few months....

A real RMF Header**, not header(s) and ditch that VC. otherwise not a bad build.

yeah i just grabbed it quick for the right price a while back and sold my gsr vc like an idiot, im more worried bout putting together my GSR turbo for my EF now that this is done. Neither this EK or my EF are daily drivers so im just gonna take my time since winter is right around the corner and i have a truck.

that moroso pan sucks cause its hard to make it seal properly.

=JUNK there is so much posted about that its not funny, that header looks like a replica as RMF headers had a tag welded on them up close to the flange.

Ya thanks what I figured. I'm going to ditch that Ctr pully too. I read that the crankshaft on a b20 is perfectly balanced for the stock one and leads to blown bottom ends if changed. Wish I'd know that earlier. I'm def going to lose that intake though.

Since your bay is getting cleaned up, i would ditch the OE fuel filter set up and run stainless line with and inline filter. then the firewall will look a little nicer.

theres the write up. https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-misc-15/how-convert-oem-fuel-feed-hard-line-braided-flex-line-fittings-1452210/

Ditch those rc 270s and get some OEM rdx 410CC injectors. Like non-vtec said. Ditch the CTR crank pulley before you oil pump takes a random **** at a random rpm.

Whats all done to the block? How high will you be reeving and most important of all. Is it going to get professionally tunned by a competent tuner?

You will also need the pigtails out of any toyota 1.8l engine for the injectors. and these spacers for the fuel rail.

ooorrr chek this out.
http://www.xenocron.com/injectors-rd...s-c-30_98.html

mines cost me around 175$ with upper and lower spacers and i had rosko racing machine me some lower spacers so the injectors would sit nice and straight and at the correct height for 30 shipped.

Been using the ctr crank pulley on my stock b20z/vtec for the past two years, have had this setup in my car for the past 3 1/2-4 years. Reving it to 8400(shifting at 7800-8000). Haven't had any issues with this crank pulley. My setup consists of stock b20z bottom end, stock b16 head except jun springs and retainers, itr cams, 2-layer head gasket, itr intake manifold, itr throttle body bored out to 65mm, p2r thermal throttle body gasket, hondata intake manifold gasket, skunk2 pro cam gears, skunk2 composite fuel rail, obd2 f20b injectors, type r header, 2.5" exhaust, magnaflow resonator, vibrant muffler, ngk iridium, msd wires cap rotor and coil, b16 tranny, type r LSD, fidanza flywheel, clutch masters 6 puck unsprung clutch, hondata s300 tuned on e85. This setup in a full interior ek hatch has ran 12.82@105mph. People have told me about the ctr pulley blowing motors, breaking oil pumps. But I take care of my motor and dont get happy with the rev limiter. To me, fresh oil is the key.
