Need a Quiet Exhaust / coilovers
U experts know of a really really quiet exhaust with a small dual tip?
I dont wanna hear any noise coming out of the exhaust at all, stock noise if posible.
Also, i know u all dont like coilovers and i been reading/searching.
But whats a really nice setup? I desperately need them cause i snowboard 3x a week, and i would like to raise up my car so i can put on some chains about 2 or 3 times a month. I just got a 96 accord and would like to do it right the 1st time around.
Let me know.
Thanks.

If you have a 6th gen I4 with ULEV just put any aftermarket muffler and keep the
inner(there's two resonator/muffler) muffler..It wont be as quiet as stock but here the next closest thing..
I would say go for h&R or eibach's stuff. 1.5 inch

question 2: for coilovers i would go with apex'i or tein suspensions. if you want some great springs/shock combo, go with the neuspeed sport springs/koni yellows.. that way you well get the performance you want and still won't have to be slammed all the way to the ground.
i can do you a 2.25 or 2.5 with a dual tip muffler. dont soudn loud at all.. and it will be custom mandrel bent all from the catback to the muffer. It will be cheaper than the apexi also..

i have to second the apexi exhuast. I've seen em' and heard em' and they're always consistent quality. Plus, the exhaust will retain some of it's value if you decide to stock your car out and sell off the parts in the future. If you bought it complete for $380, you'd probably still be able to get about $200 for it in 3 or 5 years b/k of its name.
That's one of the reason's why i went APEXi coilovers/shocks...quality, function, resale value....
APEXi USA is just down the street from you in Orange, CA btw.
Just don't go crazy on the apexi stickers...

go with a good setup, like some eibach springs and some adjustable struts. coilovers are cool for the first month, then they get old. youll get a better ride with springs and struts. ive been through 2 sets of coilovers with stock struts and a set of coilovers with kyb agx struts and they all suck. springs on coilovers are too stiff.

I had coil-overs & they blew goats. Now i got Eibach Sportlines w. Tokico illumina struts. I'm lowered 2.8 from stock and still got a great ride.
Ya, bout 5-6k depending on whether you do the work yourself or not.

I would go with teh Tanabe hyper-super medallion exhaust (very quiet). That's what I have, and I love hearing my engine, but the exhaust is deep, and quiet-which is what i like, gets a little louder in vtec, but sounds good.
hyper medalion is not quiet, tanabe exhausts are all considered loud.
coilover doesnt blow goats, cheap coilover blows goats.
eibach sportline lower 2 inches, not 2.8 inches.
tein ha or apexi ws will put your eibach/tokico suspension to shame in both comfort and performence.
apexi doesnt ride stock, apexi springs are 20% more stiffer then stock springs.

Well, I was giving a suggestion, bc I HAVE the hyper-super medallion, and all of my friends who liek loud exhausts complain that I need to gut my cat bc it's so quiet! Mine IS quiet.
people seem to have REAL threaded body coilovers confused with the .. what i call.. shock condom 'coilovers'.
don't pigeonhole real coilovers into the same class!!!!
real coilover:
shock-condom:

And it's 30% stiffer not 20%....

so the shock condom fake coilover are basically adjustable springs right?
and the real coilovers, are they adjustable as well?

if you want a great shock/strut combo that gives you a reliable and good looking drop, go with the neuspeed sport/koni yellow setup. i love mine.

agreed or if you want to spend less, go with the apex'i world sport dampers.

He has those and tokico blue shocks on 16s with 2 finger gap
So i might go with that and the koni yellow.
how many finger gap is it?
i need at least 2 for chain clearance.
But that means im gonna have to bring a hydro jack everytime it snows, which isnt really a bad thing cause it be alot easier to put on the chains.
i run Neuspeed sports w/tokiko blues for 3 years now.
not one issue ride is nice. ... and it goes through the snow fine long as its not too deep.
