Default bbs wheel guru's please chime in!

So i have a set of BBS rs 15x6.5 +17 and i wanted to get a 2in lip for it for the rears. Im aware that would make the rims 15x8, but would the offset change or would it still be +17? TIA!

This isn't really a BBS-only question, to be fair.

Anytime you increase a wheel's dimension on only one side of the wheel's mounting hub, you will be altering the offset. Offset is a measurement from the center of the wheel, not the face of the lip.

To know the exact final offset, we need to know how wide the original lip is.

original specs-15x6.5 +17 with 1in lip.
new lip will be 2in. So wheels would be 15x7.5, but unsure of offset.

6.5" rim becomes a 7.5" rim with an extra 1" added to the outside. That means the center of the rim (0 offset) will now be 1/2" closer to the outside. So the new 0 offset is now 1/2" closer to outside of lip than before. 1/2" = 12.7mm
So old offset of +17mm will now be 12.7mm less because the center of the wheel is 12.7mm closer to the outside lip edge. 17mm - 12.7mm = 4.3mm is the new offset
