Well after replacing almost everything I could think of, I am pretty sure the timing is off. Car gives me a hard time usually on startup. After that, it runs like a champ. I replaced the tct about a year ago and this is when it started acting up. Could this be the problem? Here are a few pics of the timing marks. I am wondering if the timing is off, how do I fix it? I have worked with timing belts but not chains. Thanks
Here it lines up on one mark

What I was told is supposed to be tdc but is off.......

If the timing was off it would run like crap warm or cold, not just on startup. If it were off a tooth either way it probably would not start at all. Beings I personally dont know much about the s2k motors and the lack of quality pics I don't even want to try and tackle it.... but the marks dont look off from what I can see.

Sorry for the quality of the pics, will take them with my camera. I really need to figure out whats going on.
The chain is color coded to make it very easy to put in time.
You have to make sure the color coded chain links line up with the dots on the top gear and crank trigger wheel.
Keep spinning the motor around until dot on the center gear is in the middle of 2 blue chain links on the top .
Take the pulley and the side case off. Align the dot on the crank trigger wheel up with the single blue chain link . You may have to spin the motor a lot. Take the spark plugs out to make it easier to turn.
These motors will run if they are off a tooth, but run like crap.
I have seen the crank sensor go bad or become loose and back itself out, make sure that's tight.

Looks alot like a weak battery.
What is the battery voltage while you crank it?
Have you done a leakdown test yet?
Valves all adjusted and in spec?
Just throwing some general ideas out there... Hope you get it figured out. Thats a nice s2k you got there that you cant enjoy...

Grounds are all good, took off everyone one and sanded all contact points. Brand new oem battery. Compression is good. Never messed with the valves.
At 0:17, it sounds like the battery is having a hard time cranking. Can you check voltage at the starter? You may have an excessive voltage drop from the battery to the starter. I know you said its a brand new battery, but if your losing a volt or 2 to the starter, its gonna crank slowly...
I'd still do a leakdown test just for the hell of it.
What do your spark plugs look like?
BTW- What is a TCT???
How old is the fuel???

Tct- timing chain tensioner. Fuel is always fresh.
No cel codes. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow, tired of messing with it. They can figure it out.

I went to school with the master tech. Thats who I requested to work on it. Tried to get him to come to the house and fix it on the side.
If he's any good at what he does, he wont be making house calls. (I never would and all the CMAT's I know wouldnt either) If the timing was off, even by 1 tooth you would likely set a DTC. The video is not indicative of incorrect timing. Im with others on this, bad ground or battery. Just because it is new does not mean it is good.
