Default s300 in po6/ vtec will no work

im new to tuning/s300 btw. ok i have a p06 ecu with s300 installed. i installed a stock jdm gsr tune on it and no vtec. i did the same for stock type r and b16. still nothing. i heard that i might need to run wires from a relay like ac/alt/ or what ever i select on my computer, then run wires to my vtec solenoid. im not sure what i have to do. all i want to do is set it up as a stock type r w/launch control and full throttle shift. please help me also if i put up a pic could any one tell me if they converted the computer to vtec?

Seems like it has not been converted to Vtec. Post a pic and I will be able to tell you.

Your ecu does not have vtec components in it as it is a p06 non-vtec ecu. The ecu must have the components added to it to operate vtec.

Another option is to configure an alternate output on the p06 to trigger a relay to send 12 volts to the vtec solenoid. Review the smanager help file for details on doing so.

If you prefer to use ecu hardware & the factory vtec output code, buy the hardware needed to add vtec to the ecu & install it: http://www.phearable.net/shoppingcar...ion-p-121.html

I would recommend you have a professional solder in the hardware.

If you have any soldering skills then it's fairly simple to solder the components in. Xenocron has a webpage that explains which component goes to which.

ok im not good at soldering, so in order to alternate the out put of 12 v to solenoid i can use my ac wire? i see on the screen/smanager where it shows invert out put to vtec then it shows ac/alt/something lol so since i dont have ac in my car i can invert the power from my ac wire to my vtec solenoid ? then chose invert input to my ac relay? also if that is what i need to do, what does it mean by running it off the relay? can i just run a wire from the hot wire from my ac plug to my vtec solenoid? and thanks for some answers
