92 prelude h22a swap clutch starting issue
I have a 92 prelude with a jdm h22a and a h23 tranny swap. This is my first prelude, but I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. To start the car you have to simultaneously press in the clutch while turning the key. I would appreciate any info on this, thanks.
just in case that you have never driven a 5 spd or should i say anything but an automatic... pressing the clutch while turning the key... is NORMAL
I have driven plenty of 5spds. Maybe if you paid a little more attention to question and less time trying to be a jerk you could understand. It has to be "simultaneously", by this I mean you can't push clutch on before turning the key. It has to timed together. Does that make more sense?
that doesn't make any sense. i bet you have an ignition switch that is going out. to eliminate the clutch switch un plug it and put a jumper wire in it.
Jumper wire worked. Thanks. So, do you think its the ignition switch going bad or the clutch safety switch that is going bad. It cranks right up now with no hesitations.

Make sure the pedal stopper on the clutch pedal is depressing the button on the safety switch as it should, if so probably the switch.
