I'd like to have a discussion thread specifically for the eBay turbos. I searched and didn't find any threads like this, but if there's one out there that I just failed to find, my apologies.

In this thread, I'd like to see discussion addressing anything related to eBay turbos. What do people do to make eBay turbos work (rebuilding with a Garrett kit and balancing the turbine)? Feedback about sellers on eBay, performance, reliability, etc. Let's hear the good, the bad, and the ugly! What are your personal experiences with these cheap turbos? Are they really as bad as some people make them out to be, or are they fairly reliable with a few mods?

Just a few questions to get the ball rolling. I'll update this post with links to youtube videos and such that are related to eBay turbos once I gather some links together.

I have a Egay turbo, its not fitted onto a car though... Its used as a paper weight and works quite well to be fair. One thing i have noticed though that it stinks of glue for some reason. It actually gets me quite high if i sit close to it.
