Hey everyone is there an actual recall on something like this? I just had my 07 LX sedan break down because the pulley for the water pump came off along with the serpentine belt. The car only has around 65,000 miles and apparently it is out of warranty. I've checked out 8th Civic forum and there are other people who received letters about it.
I have called Honda and they want me to tow it to the dealer and pay them just to look at it.

There is a tsb on it. Honda dealer should have it.

It basically says Honda dealer would have installed a "water pump pulley repair kit" free of charge if the vehicle falls within the vin range. The owner on record should have received a letter.

138T,
There is indeed a TSB for the water pump pulley bolts for your model year Civic, so I would take your car into the dealer and inquire about the details of this bulletin. If the dealer should play dumb about the TSB then bring in a printed out copy of the TSB and, if possible, the bolts (or tell them the part #-90013-PCX-00).
Hopefully these measures will not be necessary but I have heard tale of unscrupulous dealers attempting to weasel out of honouring warranted repairs on customer's cars
