help, water pump pulley back off snout g23 build
Hello honda tech im wondering if someone can help i have a f23 water pump that has had the pulley/sprocket from an h22 pump pressed on to it. The problem is the pulley/sprocket separates when i turn the motor on causing the motor to loose timing and stop working. The engine is fine because i have only started the motor and not exceexed 1500 rpms. But iev installed the pulley back on twice now and it keeps coming off the snout of the water pump. Is there a way i can secure it better, maybe with some red lock tite or jb weld? Any input is appreciated. The chassis is a 93 civic hatch vx with a g23 hybrid motor if anyone is wondering.

Can you post pix?
What do you mean separates? Like the sprocket comes loose and walks off the shaft?
I'm not all that familiar with the F,G,H series.

^^What he said^^ water pulley has almost 0 resistance to it, if its walking off maybe there is another pulley **** eyed pushing it off.

Sorry to waste your time but i figured it out. The water pump snout has a very small taper to it, its larger at the end then the base. So pretty much the pulley has to pe pressed past that larger part so that its secured. I just didnt put the pulley far enough on the snout. Thank you for the responses though.
