It's a bra.
It holds the headlights up.

... and keeps the nose of the car safe from getting dinged up and scratched from road debris.

It also allows the paint to fade unevenly, helps you look like you are 30 years older, and causes the clear coat to get worn away if it isn't put on "form fitting" tight.

Best bet is going on ebay and buying one of the "high quality" Chinese made jobs. For 30 bucks you can have a descent one im sure.

Yeah, but what's the point in keeping the nose looking nice if it's constantly under a big black thing?

I don't know and I don't care.
That's just what they made it for.
However, I have seen many cars with bashed in noses that use the bra to cover up the damage.

Id rather keep my 700$ paint job in best shape as possible. So using a hundred dollar bra to keep my paint from chipping is worth it to me.

$700 paint job? Why would you even remotely care if it got messed up? Spending a little under a quarter of what it cost for your paint job to protect a fraction of it, hardly seems even reasonably worth it...

You are starting to sound like those guys that are vinyl wrapping their vehicles.

A bra works well if used for.........

Long trips going over 50+
Not in the rain
Removed if traveling locally/ not used daily

Follow this and you will be fine
