96 ek hatch (cx) b16a2 swap
Hey guys I'm kind of new to honda-tech and I need help with a swap.
So, I have a 96 cx hatch and I want to put the si motor in it.
Oh, yeah I live in Cali and want to get it bar'd.
So far I know:
engine must be the same year or newer
needs all emissions equipment from the donor vehicle
and this is going to be a pain in the *** at the ref
As for the swap I have questions...
Will I be able to use the tranny from the d16yz motor?
What mounts will I need or is it a direct bolt in?
Can I use the wiring harness?
Can I use the same radiator, and ac condenser?
Do all the hoses fit?
And will all my electrical plugs work?
Thanks Again!
Sorry I'm a noob a this.

You won't be able to use the z6 tranny.
Your gonna need new mounts. You could use the stock b16a2 mounts from the donor, those will work. But i recommend getting some new ones.
You can use your stock harness, but will required modification. ( or get an 96-98 civic ex harness)
You can use the same radiator but not ac condenser. You will need new radiator hoses (mainly the bottom one)
Its going to be hard for you because of the cali emissions. Iono what your going to do about the ecu. Where I live, theres no emissions. So i converted my ecu to obd1 using a jumper harness.
