Default A few ?s about my B17

Ok, so I took a B17 as partial payment for a customer swap but as it turns out it has one bad rod bearing and one bad main bearing. They were not spun, just really trashed. I would like to use the block but the crank is a little scratched.
So my questions are as follows.

Is it true that the b17 block is the same as a b18?
Can I use a b18b rotating assembly with pr3 pistons in this block?
Do the non vtec blocks have oil jets? (because I'm thinking about b20)
Or can non vtec blocks be machined to use oil jets?

I'm trying to use as many factory parts as possible but I'm open to suggestions. If anyone has some good ideas for this project (or parts for sale) please let me know.

a b17 is the same block as a b16, any b18 parts will not fit in a b16 block (its to short) i think all vtec blocks had oil jets, (i could be wrong) but yea a b17 is just a stroked b16 better off just trading that for a b18 haha

Thanks for the help.
Lots of guys have been telling me to scrap the b17 and use the pr3 head on a b18 or b20. I can get a b20 for cheap (from a 97 crv I think) but it will need to be honed or bored. What rods and pistons should I be using if I go the b20/vtec route?
Does anyone know if the b20 block will accept oil jets?

If you are on a Budget: RS machine ITR spec Pistons/ Stock b20/LS rods with ARP rod bolts.

If you are a *Baller*: CP,Wiseco Pistons/ Carrilo, Manley rods.

And no b20 blocks will not take any Oil jets/squirters.

Thanks, very informative! But I think I'm going to just rebuild the b17 for now since it will be cheaper and keep the b20 block for when I have the money to do it right.

B17 GSR is one of the rarest honda motors out there. keep it original and rebuild it stock.
