So I'm guessing this is an automatic? What you're saying is that if you're cruising at 20, the revs stay at 3500, and the car doesn't downshift?

Wish I could give some advice, but I don't know if that's normal or not.

Is this an automatic car?

As it reads, your car is accelerating and you're wondering why the engine RPM's are increasing... typically when you accelerate, the RPM's increase. Otherwise you would be staying at the same pace, without a change in RPM.
