RPM
I have 2001 Honda Civic LX 123000 miles ... when i start (all the time)the car RPM goes around 1000 when i drive to 20mph RPM climb to 3500 .. when speed goes to 65mph RPM smooth to 2000 ... I just change Catalytic Converters , Change plugs ... there is no engine light on .... wt it could be some one can help me ???
So I'm guessing this is an automatic? What you're saying is that if you're cruising at 20, the revs stay at 3500, and the car doesn't downshift?
Wish I could give some advice, but I don't know if that's normal or not.

Is this an automatic car?
As it reads, your car is accelerating and you're wondering why the engine RPM's are increasing... typically when you accelerate, the RPM's increase. Otherwise you would be staying at the same pace, without a change in RPM.
