i have a 96 4 civic ex. i pulled the soch out and put an b17 in it. i put in a chiped obd1 ecu. i started it up and it ran good drove it arounfd for a while. then while i was driving it started rlowing down real fast and it keeped doing it every time i pushed the gas. but when i down shift and let it slow down real fast, then put it back in the right gear it ran fine..it did that a couple times and then it just stoped doing it.. i drove it to a friends house a week later and it felt weak. when i left his house it sounded like it was miss fireing bad or if it was running off of three cylinders. i changed the fuel pump to a walbro 255. put new fuel filters ,checked the spark plugs. checked comp. cyl 1 was 195, cyl 2 was 225, cyl 3 was 210, cyl 4 was 225.. now when i srart it up it sounds like a lawnmower. wtf is wrong with it. where can i start.

Ayo check your resistor box going to your injectors

 

Sounds like its firing in the wrong order, you sure you have the spark plugs in the right order?

 

also what has been done to the motor?

 

it has cam gears, 7 pound flywheel, headers and intake. thats it. nothing internal. and no i the wires are in order. but now that i think about it it might be my injecor plugs. there two short but the same lenth and two long but the same lenth. i might of wired those wrong. im ganna check them. but any other ideas let me know. also when my friend wired his ecu in my car, i started it up and the ecu started smoking.. i started it the other day and my ecu did the same thing. i got another onebut afraid to put it in cuz its my chiped one.. what can friey my computer both in th same spot..
