Ok, the problem is the D4 light is flashing, and the Mph is not working. I tried to pull the code for the engine and it said it was the Vtec sensor. Ok im running a vtec ecu and the car doesn't have vtec. So i know thats not the problem. Now the code for the d4 it flashes 4 times. Im thinking its the Vss, the speed sensor. Now are the B series and F series compatiable? Can i use a b series vss from a manual trans and put it in a F series Automatic trans? Any other ideas? I tries pulling the plug and making sure its connected also. Nothing, thats why im leaning towards the speed sensor.

 

Some of the b-series sensors will fit in the hole and plug in, but I don't know if the teeth are the same. Accords and Preludes all use the same speed sensor though.

Also, if you're not throwing codes for speed sensor, I would look into testing your gauge cluster before swapping sensors.

 

Hmm, i looked at it from the top, and they look the same. I guess id have to try it and see.
