Default Oil Leak/ Timing Belt??

Just had a new timing belt installed and oil is leaking from driverside valve cover. A little has gotten on the timing belt. Is there a way to clean this off the timing belt?

Brake parts cleaner would be preferred... even carb cleaner would work in a pinch but isn't preferred.

I am not sure as I don't use that product, but as long as it doesn't leave a residue (film) and won't soften the rubber then go for it.
