Icon3 JB Weld help

My valve cover gasket screws on my d16z6 dont screw down to the threads on the block. was thinking of using jb weld to make the new threads using Vaseline on the screw so it doesnt stick to the jb weld but im not sure if thats an area that goes above 500 degrees. if anyone has any ideas PLEASE let me know!!!

i recommend using heli-coil. you wanna re thread the striped hole and use heli-coil for a more strength, permanent fix.

none of them requires welding. and they both require drill/tap.

are you talking about the threads in the cam caps that hold on the valve cover? oh for your first idea they make a special thread repair compound that does what you suggest, I think loctite makes it, I have a kit I use for threads I don't want to helicoil, i think I used it once, not on anything critical
