i got a ebay ram horn turbo manifold kept in a bag. ive heard these rust. before i install i want to paint it.did anyone ever painted a ram horn turbo manifold with hith temperature engine duplicolor paint.

do i need to put temp primer, temp base, and temp clear coats? or do i just spray one coat of high temp duplicolor engine paint?

 

either get at HPC/Ceramic coated or forget about it. The last thing you need is paint overheating and catching on fire and burning your hard work to the ground.

 

the ebay manifold will crack before it rusts

but you should be more worried about getting that manifold rewelded before you paint it

 

FWIW, I've used the VHT Cerami-coat high temp black before. It is kindof like a high temp powdercoat in a can. Works good but is quite alot of work to apply.

 

I woulnt worry bout the rusting .. the cracks would have me more concerned
