First post so I'll give you a little history and background on the car. It's a 91 hatch that has had the wagon RT4WD conversion done to it. The previous set up was a built and turbo'd a6 running 10psi from a 14b. The car was crazy fun but I wanted more.... So I took it off the road and did a mini me swap with a port and polished z6 head and a comp 59300 cam. Also a t3/t04 turbo, Zerg industries obd1 conversion and some other goodies I won't go into. My issue is the car runs like complete poo. Fires up and goes super lean and dies and it also seems it's not firing on all cylinders. I've checked my injectors, changed cap rotor wires and plugs, and even resorted to switching back to stock injectors and cutting the j1 jumper in my ecu to make it react like a stock p28 just to get it run. Still no luck. I'm completely stumped and out of things to try. Any input or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

 

Valve lash set to 0.007'' intake and 0.009 exhaust?

Other than that, the cam should idle just fine without a tune.
I would try disconnecting the charge pipe, installing stock injectors and running a stock P28 to see if you can get it to idle.
Then you should be able to see if you get any odd CELs popping from your OBD1 conversion.

If that works, then I think your problem lies in the the tune on your turbo ECU.
Did you happen to change to different injectors with the upgrade?

 

Yes it has rc 750cc injectors in it and I have swapped to stock injectors and just modded my chipped p28 to run like a stocker and it did the same thing ( even worse actually) I'll check valve lash.
