Default Solenoid operated FPR

I figured i would give this question a shot here

I bought a jdm F20a dohc for my accord and noticed it had a solenoid operated fuel pressure regulator

The normal setup as we all know is the vacuum line from the FPR goes straight into the intake manifold

This setup the FPR goes into one side of the solenoid and the other end of the solenoid is connected to the intake manifold

I can only assume that this would give better control over the fuel system than a mechanical variant. Anyways i want to actually make it work

The wire colors are solid red and black with a yellow stripe.

Don't tell me to just hook it up to the intake manifold... i already know i can do that.

All i need to know is that parts to wire it to on the intake manifold ECU

Also i have the proper ECU for this motor so it will have the capability of controlling this solenoid

I have searched and found nothing on the subject anywhere but a bunch of people tell everyone to delete it.

Thanks in advance.

Finding the ECU pinout for your ECU would be a big help, that's obvious. What ECU is it? I'll take a look around. I may have some old European manuals that might have a setup similar to this.

Sorry boss,

Went through all of my JDM CB3 Accord 2.0 manuals and the supplements and could not find anything that had a solenoid connected to the FPR. Lot's of emissions crap though.

The Idle air boost solenoid was the only solenoid that I could find that had BLk/YEL & RED wiring.

BLK/YEL from the under hood fuse box
RED runs from the solenoid to the A/C switch and the Power steering oil pressure switch.

So I am guessing that this solenoid was used to boost air under load of the A/C or Power steering. It would have been grounded and actuated when ether of these switches were engaged.

The ecu in question would be the PT2 ecu

Where is it boosting air to if its hooked up to the FPR?

Do you have a real jdm manual with the f20a dohc or is this the world wide manual that can be downloaded online with the f20a sohc?

Considering that the air boost valve is non existent on jdm engines perhaps that solenoid acts as the replacement.
