Default Caster problem CB7

A few months ago I took my Accord in for an alignment after replacing the inner and outer tie rods, radius arm bushings, wheel bearings, and lower ball joints.

The print out came back with a caster issue on the right front 1.6 degrees when it should be between 2.0 to 4.0. The left side is at 2.8 degrees. The alignment guy said he thought maybe the lower control arm was bent or the sub frames had shifted.

Today I installed a new Honda lower control arm and visually it looked the same as the old one. I’m planning to see if I can shift the sub frames forward on the right side this weekend when I install new front shocks.

This car has never been wrecked, but I’m thinking someone may have biffed a curb or a hit pothole at one time.

Any other ideas? The car does not pull, but I would really like to get this is in spec.

I’m doubtful that the knuckle is bent because the camber is spot on.

Caster, that little out of spec really isn't a killer for your alignment. It may pick at your desire of perfection but won't hurt the car really. Personally, I'd try to have the left side reduced to around 2.0 (or closer to it) and leave it at that.

Update: I had the car aligned and the caster is now 2.4 on the right side. I had the left side shimmed to the same. I guess the control arm was bent.

I shifted the subframe at the same time, so I'll never know what made them biggest difference in the caster.

NOT BIG ON BODY OR FRAME MODS. HOW DO YOU SHIFT THE SUBFRAME MY DADS HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH CASTER ON THE RIGHT SIDE 1990 HONDA ACCORD EX THERES 13 REPORTS ON CARFAX BUT HES TO CHEAP TO GET IT. ALL HE DID WAS MODIFY THE BAR FROM UNDER THE LOWER CONTROL ARM TO THE FRONT CHASSIS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

There's four bolts holding the front crossbeam and four holding the rear subframe. I just loosened all them with the car on a lift and pushed the right side as farward as I could. There's not much movement maybe 2-3mm at best.
