OT: JDM automatic motors
Do the jdm automatic motors have less aggressive cams then 5 speed motors??
edit, comment: just put OT for those whining itrs owners that say this isn't a itr related question but on the main forum it says all jdm questions...

most cars dont have auto in jdm land. or atleast, in the past.

Yeah, in Taiwan you usually have to special order manuals because people like auto due to traffic.
Japanese cars (in japan) in general are automatic! most people in Japan don't drive stick because:
1. Its harder to get a stick shift license
2. traffic is hell
A lot of the cars here you have to explicitly specify stick or you'll get an auto by default. some of the newer low end Honda's are automatic ONLY.
I wouldn't doubt that other Asian countries are the same..the roads are totally different here compared to the states, so autos are so much easier to drive here.
