Do the jdm automatic motors have less aggressive cams then 5 speed motors??

most cars dont have auto in jdm land. or atleast, in the past.

 

i know of 2 ppl that have automatic swaps from japan...

NSX is the only one i can think of, and thats in the USDM motors as well

 

What?!??!...where did you get that from?...90% of the cars sold in Japan are automatics....only some sports cars like the ITR come in 5-6 speed only...

 

speaking of JDM in general or just JDM honda?
ive seen plenty of auto r32/33's online.

 

Yeah, in Taiwan you usually have to special order manuals because people like auto due to traffic.

Japanese cars (in japan) in general are automatic! most people in Japan don't drive stick because:

1. Its harder to get a stick shift license
2. traffic is hell

A lot of the cars here you have to explicitly specify stick or you'll get an auto by default. some of the newer low end Honda's are automatic ONLY.

I wouldn't doubt that other Asian countries are the same..the roads are totally different here compared to the states, so autos are so much easier to drive here.

l've seen AT B16's 1st. gen before, but not about cams specs.

maybe they have for torque at lower rpms since i don't think it will rev that high.
