As posted at the bottom of my first post in regards to this incident (which my gf posted for me over the phone), I lost all of my oil at about 50mph due to a stupid mechanic not tightening my oil filter. Oil light was on for as long as possibly 10 secs before I noticed it. Having already spoken to Sgt, I am curious if any others have done anything similar and what engine damage you had in such a situation. Mobil is going to get sued if they don't want to accept full responsibility for the incident, so let me know what you think worst case scenario will be. Let's hear it!
I had a similar issue with the local idiots at the dealership, they didn't tighten my plug down. It happened to me at redline in first gear, not sure how much oil had leaked out and what was still in there before the bolt came out. The dealership pulled the pan and the valve cover to inspect everything and they claimed that ther were no issues...but that was the last car...
Uh you let other people touch your car? do you know how to do an oil change? I guess you will be doing your own oil changes from now on , right?
Just get on the owner's *** about the incident and hopefully they don't have to fix anything- 10 no oil- min damage if any.

I thought Spring Hill sounded familiar, but the Long Island, NY bit threw me off.
Hope things work out for you!

Why is this post being brought back from the dead over a year after the incident? Do I let other people change my oil? If i am busy, yes. Granted I sold the ITR in April, but that's neither here nor there. Do you frequently respond to threads years after the fact?
