Who has the fastest turbo STREET CAR?
As the topic states. This means u drive it everyday on a street tire (bfg drag radial, Nitto, etc...) and go tothe track without swappng tires, adding race gas or gutting the **** out of the interior, and running a killer time?
my basic question here is, can I crack 12.0's or high 11's on let's say a 225/60/15 bfg drag radial??? With let's say 400hp to the crank?
Oh, and who is this Peanut character that I here is unbeaten in Miami? I don't live there but when u guys "street race" do guys roll up on full blown mickey's or drag radials?

Who is this sherbaz guy, is there anyway to get in touch with him? Anyone close to him on this board, and if so, u think he'll give me his setup or some pointers?

sherbaz did not run 10's on street tires.
and to answer your question, 400 to the wheels should allow you to run 12.00. alot will depend on your set up, torque, boost controller, tire, tranny, driver, etc......but it could be done with that amount.

They have been pretty deep pockets, I got all I need now so I'm running kinda dry.
My setup:
b18c JG pro series 9:1:1 comp
B16a full race port and polish
ITR cams
ITR intake manifold
JG 65 mm TB
Integra LS trans w/ ACT clutch
innovative t3/t4 50 trim with stage 5 housing and big shaft
Revhard manifold
3" DP
VRS 3" exhaust no cat to a magnaflow
Delphi 65 lb injectors
AEM standalone
Z10 radius arms
kyb shocks and Skunk2 coilovers
The only thing that might hinder me is that it's a 00 SI coupe with full interior. Weight will play a big factor as I am not gutting the car..ever.
I think this setup can net me some SICK times, but I want to do it on drag radial not slicks!
I guess the AEM stand alone can be setup as a boost controller, example...1st gear 10 psi, 2nd 15psi, 3rd 20psi. This should help me control wheel spin and get traction. I know a full 20 psi out of the hole would'nt be a good thing.

just get the g-force drag radials and set them to around 16 psi. start messing with your boost levels in each gear. go as low as possible for 1st and up second to like 10-15 and 15-20 in third and everything in 4th. see what happens. with enough runs/adjustments, i think you'll be there. i'd lose the ls tranny. what is your rev limit going to be?

another secret was to hold swithc in 4th also to take timing off at 4 and 5th gears helped dramatically ...

Why should I lose the LS trans? I just got a quaife in it too! My buddy bought my old setup from my car, turbo and stuff, and the only thing different is he's running an LS. The car feals so much better.
As for the rev limit, I don't know...wherever power stops coming in I guess. The turbo that I picked out(t3/t4 50 trim and I think 48 trim exhaust with a 50 a/r) Is for instant power and instant spool. I want my torque curve to be broad, not spikey. So the car will have more midrange(usable power) which is what I wanted for the ultimate street machine. I might use the stock rev limit of 8200 or bump it up to maybe 8600 rpm. I checked out the compressor maps for the t3/t4 50 trim and no matter where I run the psi...15psi-20psi...the turbo is still in the 76% efficiency range which is excellent.
Let me know what u think jinxproof and/or anyone else, I appreciate any and all advise!

with the 8200 rev limit you might need the ls. for street racing and auto x, the tighter the gearing the better in my opinion. for drag racing, your shooting for going through the traps in the top of your power band in 4th gear(hondas). so alot depends on your gears, tire size, and rev limit. i ran a b16 tranny with 15" rims on the street and 25" slicks on the track. either way i went through the traps at the top of 4th. but you'd need to rev to at least 9500 to do that. just depends on your plans for the car.
With my old turbo setup, I was at 8100 and/or bouncing of the revlimit in 4th gear. the cars best pass to date was a 13.3 at 109 mph.
My friend which has a b16a built (my old motor)with the Ls trans runs out 3rd at 110 mph at 8200 rpm. I figeured if I want 120 mph trap speeds and still want to be where most of my power is gonna be the LS would be perfect. I just hated the b16 trans. First and second were gone in a flash, and then when u hit 3rd the car really started to pull. Well I'll just have to see what happens.
ugly assed civic-That guy from whom I have never met or spoken with is my hero. On another thread I guess he ran a mid 11 on Nitto drags...DAAAMN! That's what I want.
