AMP Q's for da n00b again :)
Ok, I asked earlier what I should geet for a setup... since my inside bumps pretty nicely I'm not gonna get a 4 channel amp... I was thinking two sony 12's (4 ohms each...) but I wanted to know more of an amp... The sony's are 50-300w rms and I was wondering what that's all about... Would a 300w amp blow them since they are 50-300 or the subs just let anything between 50 and 300 push them?
Would the Sony XM-2150GSX 760 Watt 2/1 channel amplifier that runs 150 x 2 into 4 ohms be a decent amp to push those??? I want something that pushes the 50-300 x 2 and not x 1 since I'd be running two subs, right? I'm an amp and sub n00b... I'm trying to make sense of it and your guyses help is totally appreciated! Also, i dunno if it'd be safe or not but how can I run the 150x2 into 2 ohms for a 300x2 into 2 ohms and would that be ok with 4 ohm subs? I don't think it would but I dunno, I'm n00b y0!
Thanks guys!

first off sony subs suck. I used to work at best buy and people were the least satisfied with them out of all the subs we carried. 2nd the sony x-plod series amps burn up too easily. (eq probs on the '01 models) third if u r going to get that sony amp or amy 2 channel for that matter get 8OHM subs! not 4 ohms! if u want to get the most bang for your buck and get the most out of your 2ch amp you need to bridge it when you bridge an amp using 2 4ohm subs u will get a 2 ohm load. you want to run a 4 ohm load (4 ohm = standard load). if u take the same amp and run two 8 ohm subs in parallel you will be running a 4 ohm load which is what you want, by running two 8ohm subs in parallel you will keep your amp from overheating, and keep the distortion level down, plus a whole other slew of advantages... blah blah blah
