Default Local dealer offered me $4927, for my itr

I got an offer in the mail today, from a local car dealer.

If I act by Sept 15th, I can get $4927 for my 2001 PY itr, with 70,500 miles on it.

I just re-registered it in July, so that is where he probably got my info.

I wasn't looking to get rid of it, but how does, almost $5k for an 11 year old car sound?

It's just a cold-call mail offer without a true value of your caR. Your PY is most likely worth much more than that...easily $12k assuming it's in good shape, clean title, etc.

Joe, I think he can do much better than $12k. I'd say at least $13,500 in a good market.

I wonder where they even CALCULATE these values. Why not just round up to $5k if you wanna lowball the dude that bad.

This offer came to me, from a VW dealer and I wonder how they got my address and my car's info?

Do dealerships search the personal property tax records, to get this info?

car registrations i would imagine, would be a fair offer for a gsr, wonder if the guy was going off that since itr's don't often list in books due to the low sales and production volume

$4927 is pretty low, you can get a better deal on ebay.

That's like a slap in the face to an ITR owner for $4927 considering it's in good condition

Hold on...let me go back to my basics Safe....okay yeah, I read your post again.

What you don't understand is that perhaps people are reading your post out of context as text doesn't have tone??? Why would everyone be offering cash if they didn't think you wouldn't take 5k cash the car?

When I read the following sentence:
"I wasn't looking to get rid of it, but how does, almost $5k for an 11 year old car sound?"

Your post almost reads like........"holy $hit, 5k for an 11 year old car. ILL TAKE IT!!!" LOL

No need to get your panties in a bunch sir.

You should send him back an offer of $12.66 for his wife if he acts by this weekend. Then call her a skank. Like a boss.
