A/C not ice cold
Despite having been in the shop twice, to replace a leaking top line and replacing the condenser filter (? i think that is correct), the a/c on my 99 Accord, while cool, does not get the cabin ice cold the way my Toyota used to. Is this a Honda quirk? The air seems cold coming out and eventually gets the car cool but not, like i say, icy cold. the car is black and i live in Tucson, is that just what I have to live with?
I'm getting 60 - 70 degrees out the vent. It cycles "lukecool" about every 20 minutes, where the temp will rise from 60 to 70, then it will go back down to 60. It is 105 degrees and 35% humidity here in Tucson right now. The shop confirms they replaced a leaky top line, put in a new drier, and cleared the fins of the condenser, which had road debris, then recharged. They were able to get 38 degrees out of the vent, but that was in Salt Lake City, temp not so high. I'm just wondering, can anything else be done?
on my 94 accord, the ac was marginal at best. one day poking around the engine bay, I ran across the hot water valve. The hot water valve has a lever and wire that is connected to the temp control in the cabin. On the valve, there is an arrow that points to closed. well i "closed" it about a half inch.
In other words, it lets hot water into the heater core reducing the efficiency of the ac. any time I move the temp to something other that full cold, I have to finish closing the valve for max ac.

I'm in northern California where it also gets over 100 degrees. On days when I park my car in the garage, the A/C blows cold immediately. On days when I leave my car parked in the sun on the driveway, it takes much longer to get ice cold air out of the vents.
