Binding on the main caps? Or rod caps?

Rods damaged/twisted?
Rod caps installed correctly?
Crank bent?
Block mains out of spec?
Rod side clearance?
How are you checking clearances?

Recent rebuild? Did you buy the wrong rod bearings (LSs will bind against the gsr crank)? It should not be "tight" though, it should spin over pretty freely without the head/cams installed.

rods are not damaged....
rod caps are correct...
not sure if the crank is bent but it spins freely when the pistons and rods are not intsalled...
i didnt check block mains as crank spins freely...
idk what side clearence is?
And i checked my bearing clearences with sum plastigauge...
im not sure what the torque specs are cuz ive seen so many different amounts... i torqued to 23ft\lbs ive heard higher than that but it binds at 23 so i didnt even think of torquing it further

It is the rod caps
They are not damaged
Installed correct
Crank spins fine w.o. rod caps torqued
Didnt check block mains
Dont know whats side clearence is????
Plastigauge to check

Bearing I purchased are pr4
The crank is gsr but these were the bearing that were on the car when i bought it... It had a damged piston from a valve dropping...got new pistons mounted on stock rods but everytime i torque down the rods it wont spin. I even had the machine shop inspect my rods caps to make sure I dint switch em out. Im losing my mind trying to figure this out..

P.S if i could get the torque specs for the p72 rod caps on my gsr crank... that would be great guys... thanks for all the help

you cant use pr4 rod bearings with gsr rods...you need the slim p72 bearings...
