when i am in cold weather switching from 2nd to 3rd sometime grind on mii is this common ?

 

yes. 1st to 2nd is also common.

 

yep...only thing you can do is

1. change tranny oil
2. check the shifter bushings
3. check the shifter cable bushings
4. check the shifter cables

tranny oil got rid of 3rd gear grind for me(on my ep3)

and i think sometime my 2nd gear grind is due to my shifter cable bushings..
we will see once i install my bcss i will check the shifter cable and cable bushings for wear and tear and looseness

 

most of the time they synchro's are bad. might as well do a full rebuild.

i replaced my fluid with honda mtf last week and it definitely made an improvement. but it's really just a bandaid fix.

 

when i replaced my fluid, it minimized the chances of getting 2nd gear grind, and completely got rid of my 5th gear grind.

 

you had 5th gear grind!

 

to the OP, does it still grind after the cars been warmed up in cold weather?
