Engine sometimes wont rev past 4000
i have a 98 accord coupe 4 cylinder. today i got on the highway and dropped it into 2nd gear and dropped my foot on the gas... the rpm's climbed up to around 4k and wouldnt go any further, i tried switching gears, same problem so i pulled over onto the shoulder. i tired reving it a few times. it seems that when i slowly push the pedal down it has no problem but when i press hard it wont go above 4k and it makes a hissing sound. also when that happends the engine sounds alot louder than normal. another thing to note is that for some reason there is no oil in my engine despite the fact that it does not burn oil and it has no leaks. please help my anniversary trip is in 2 days and have to drive for a few hours to get there!!
that might be it... the check engine light is on but i just figuered thats because its overdue for an oil change... im taking it to the mechanic first thing in the morning. thx for this ill suggest it to him.

I think I'd fix that before I moved the car another inch first. Then check your codes and get it out of limp mode.
