Default solid rear shocks for drag racing

Has anyone replaced the rear shock with with a solid rear shock or just some kind of dummy welded rear shock to battle weight transfer? Is there a kit for some kind of solid rear suspension for front wheel drive drag racers? thanks

we were running solid bars with stock mounting points about 4 yrs ago until recently.
increased 1/4 by 2tenths. launches hard with consistent 60fts.
we usually sell them to local people but if you want one, let meknow. I can get some pics.

actually we never did anything to the front. back in the day when there werent many options on spring rates and coilovers werent as cheap. all we did was the rear solid and just regular front springs/shocks.

some were tying down the front suspension so it wont travel as much, but we felt that wouldnt be good since you cant really tighten them down evenly and theres the risk of the car pulling more to a certain side.

nowadays, for street/tracl setups, just use a good shock/spring combo such as ground control.

some cars will be able to use the 89 accord shocks and use them on the front. they have a shorter travel rate and is somewhat better than the stock ones.

For the front suspension people use to use some kind of straps to limit the front end lift. The solid rear suspension setup was harsh. I knew a guy with a white single cam crx that used to drive on the street races with them on. I always wondered what happened to him. I wonder if the cars frame starts to bend??

ya a soid rear hurt my chest man and thats just driving normal shifting real slow too.
the straps were scary cuz if they broke, it would veer off to one side and you dont want that happening at 90mph
