I am looking to buy a new hood, and I wanna make sure I grab the right one! I am gonna go look at a carbon hood for my 4 door eg, but the hood is not on a car... seller said it was originally on his friends 4 door, but he had it on his 2 door... i already told him that the 2 hoods are different, but he said it fit perfect on his 2 door. so is there a way to tell for sure that it is for a 4 door? any tell tale signs to know for sure?

 

Ones a little longer than the other, can't remember which is which anymore though.

 

are we talking length? like from the front of the hood to the back by the wipers? anybody know what the difference in length might be? i heard its like only 1/4" or something???

 

Yes, length. Half an inch IIRC.

 

well I got a carbon fiber hood for a great deal, and it was for a 2 door, but I put it on yesterday, and it actually fit! looks like I have a tiny gap between the hood, and the top of the bumper, but honestly it doesnt look like much more than I already had with a stock 4 dr hood

proof that it can be done! not sure if it was because it is carbon fiber, and fittament might be different over a stock hood
