What type of dyno?
The engine should be fully broken in on the dyno. You should not have to wait 1000miles and go back and re-dyno.

For your set-up those #s seem a little low.
For comparison w/ the KMOD RSX we made 268whp-190wtq
Set-Up
K24a1(Head & Block)
Gato Performance Intake Manifold
Infiniti Q45 84mm Throttle Body
FIC 525cc Fuel Injectors
KMOD 4-1 Race Header
KMOD 3.0in Exhaust
KMOD Stg1 Head Porting
Crower "KMOD" Camshafts
Honda Locked Rocker Arms
Skunk2 Exhaust Cam Gear
Supertech Beehive Valvesprings
Supertech Titanium Retainers
Supertech 13.5:1 Pistons
Eagle Connecting Rods
KMOD K20a2 Oil Pump
We are teing some Kelford 179-b cams next week on this same set-up

i think they just wanna make more money off you.... im sure that setup will make over 290whp btw it'll be a good investment to get an aftermarket chain tensioner fro those bad boys

Excuse my ignorance but after a fresh engine build the motor is broken in on the dyno?? I would of thought a 1000 mile break-in would be a good idea.

tuner is kindda correct...assuming those CP pistons are street pistons therefore the rings are not racing rings, then you have to do a good 800-1000mile breakin after about 2-3 oil changes...typically it depends on the rings that you use, that determines the break in.

also during the 1000mile, the best breakin procedures typically for the street rings:
-dont keep at stead rpm on the hwy, vary it back and forth
-approaching stop light or stopping in general, keep downshifting to each gear and let of gas
-dont keep idling the motor
