NO Power, NOT Turning Over.
I have a CD5.
Bought a new battery and ground cable. The car isn't turning over, clicking, key in the ignition won't beep, lights don't come on... It's not doing anything.
Checked ALL the fuses, they're fine. A friend thinks it might be my starter. The one I have, I bought around a year in a half ago. DO they go out that quick?
What else could it be?
Also, interior door lights do light up, they're very dim though. And the horn you can barely hear. Jumping the car does NOTHING.

The posts on the battery are fine, since it is new. I did brush them anyways. I sprayed, brushed and wiped the terminals with corrosion cleaner, also replaced the negative connector AND bought a new negative cable (just in case).
The alternator doesn't matter since the car won't power on, and won't power the starter to start it.

When you turn the key to the on position is your fuel pump priming? The starter is more then likely the problem for the car not starting. Check for corrosion on the starter cable. As for your lights not turning on, im pretty sure its electrical. As much as it sucks, just keep it up with the process of elimination.
sounds like a bad battery to me but you say you just replaced it. did you replace the battery and run it then it died? like said above clean the connectors and the grounds. also check all the power cables and make sure you checked the under the hood fuse box along with the under the dash fuse box

the starter has nothing to do with the dash lights, headlights, horn etc. there is definitely a problem somewhere else
if there is not enough power to work the horn the starter wont even move. test the battery properly try jumping the vehicle.
if it starts and then just dies your alternator is dead. make sure to clean all the grounds. the ecu grounds to the drivers side of the intake manifold
