Rear Sway Bar Question 2000 Civic Si

And got in a ASR Subframe brace because of the kind of sway bar i installed i need new bushings. I took it to local mom and pop mechanic. And he said the kind of sway bar i bought and the way the brackets are set-up and the fact it's a si there is no need for a subframe. And it would be mainly for show. If i still would want to install it where would i get the right bushing i couldn't find any on ebay.
But i guess the big question is he right is there really no need for a subframe. I guess the cheaper ones need them but the this was specifically built so you don't need one.

The si essentially doesnt need as to that part being stronger from factory.... The reg civic just have the sheet metal on both sides.... Si in the back side has thicker metal........ So asr brace would help.very little and it would be more for show.... As for bushings a suspension shop or performance shop might be able to find somethin that would work

The ASR brace WILL help with the larger sway bars, and is still required to use big sway bars. Deffinetly for a CTR!
The ONLY civic to have a thicker/stronger subframe is the CTR.
What bushings was he talking about?
tie bars are for show. its always good to keep that part supported. why risk subframe tear out over 300 bucks?
no civic is built to hold a big sway bar. or they wouldn't make ASR/F7 braces for it.
