i got soem coilovers...please explain something
i got these very low name brand coilovers bc my man hooked me up and said the actualy coilover isnt too important but the shocks/struts and sway bars...this doesnt soudn right but is this true please break it down for me and if they ar ebad can i chnage the spring rates??
Well, you don't want no "cheapie" coilovers. What brand are they? I'm sure they'll be fine but your friend was pretty much correct. You're going to have to invest in some shocks/struts because if you're lowering your car for the first time, and considering your car is a 93, the stock shocks will give in really quick especially if the ride is bouncy.
just to put it very simply for ya, when you get a cheaper coilover, its just going to make your car bouncy. Changing shocks will help but it wont really make up for a poor quality spring. And low end coilover generally dont offer different spring rates.
theyre like number 1 motorsports...i knwo they suck but i dont have the money for new KYB AGX's...and some stock things i need for it and my insurance and all that just ran up so i need to re register it...so im in a bind. Anyone suggest soemthign different, i got these for 160 a set the GC's were 330 he said
Its the spring rate you have to worry about. Usually coilovers like that are "universal" so you have to make sure the rate will balance out your car okay...I would suggest some shocks and you'll be set...Not much to worry about.

If you just want typical performance shocks, I would suggest Tokicos..(the blue one)...They're decently priced and they're good aftermarket shocks....You'll be happy with them...
