99 Civic Wont Start, Help!
**FIXED, SEE BELOW**
I just went to go to lunch and my 99 civic wont start. It seems to have plenty of battery power and the battery is less than a year old. When I try to start it, it just clicks. Also, when I try to start it the brake light comes on, but only while I'm trying to start it. Once the key returns to the II position the brake light goes back off. It's an AT. Help!

When it is running, are the headlights dim? Almost sounds like your alternator is not charging the battery or your starter solenoid is bad. Do you have a battery charger you can put on the battery?
Edit: you just answered half my question.
Tap the starter solenoid while somebody is trying to start the car. The only time my brake light came on was when the alternator went out.

Nevermind. I popped the hood and the negative terminal on the battery cable was all gunked up and corroded. I took the one pair of pliers I had and knocked it around a bit until it moved and got a better connection. Glad to know it wasn't more serious than that.
