Default 1997 Honda Accord "bubbling water" sound

I own a 1997 Honda Accord. I was driving it around and everything seemed just fine but when I got home and parked it and turned it off I heard this "bubbling water" sound. I looked under my car and there was a pretty good bit of water leaking from under. The temperature gauge never went up or anything so I don't think it overheated. Anyone know a possible problem here?

Was the A/C on when you drove it? Most likely from the AC system. This is normal.

Is that just water, or anti freeze running out?

Yea the AC was on and I think it was a mixture of water/anti-freeze.

Get a sample of whatever the fluid is.

Coolant from the radiator would probably be warm, if not downright hot. The anti-freeze has a slippery feel to it when compared to just water.

There should be water draining from the A/C condenser when you stop.

Take a look at the overflow bottle for the radiator. If there is bubbling there while the engine is running there could be some nasty things going on. If it is a head gasket leak there may be bubbles in the cooling system which can be checked for combustion byproducts.

If there is simply a "gurgling" sound when you shut the car off, that might be the air conditioning system equalizing pressure of the "freon". It is also possible that the refrigerant level may be low which might make this sound more noticeable.

Where is the water draining out from? Is it on the passenger side? Or more from the engine bay area? I would try to run the car without A/C and see if it still makes that sound or leaks on the ground.

I believe mine sounded similar to the OP's after I shut the car off and been using A/C. Nothing went wrong though.

I had the Same problem, found out it was my radiator cap. the seal was shot on it and it was causing the same sound in the coolant reservoir.
