My A/C compressor locked up i think....when i turn it on the belt will sqeak and the car will turn off. I have another d-series a/c compressor can i interchange the parts in sides and use the 05 compressor?

 

Sounds like more work than it's worth.

I don't think it'll be compatible, but I've also never tried nor heard of anyone doing this; you'd be the first.

If I were in the same position; I'd either buy a new, used, or reman'd replacement.




Have you tried removing the belt and turning the compressor clutch assembly by hand? You're better off removing the A/C compressor and inspecting it before you jump into buying anything to replace it with.
