Default Painting valve cover

I have a friend who does sharpie artwork on bikes and cars, my question is would that do well on a valve cover on a b16a. I am wanting to throw a base coat of like a forest green or dark greenish on it, the have it sharpied to look like a motherboard as I am all about cars and computers. Anyone ever done this or know how it could be done? I would do it with paint but I am not very artistic.

I think as long as you use a high-heat basecoat, have your friend sharpie it, then spray a high-heat clearcoat on top of it it should work fine

I've seen people post Sharpie'd VCs on the VC thread. The only problem I could see is that the pigment could change color from the heat.

the sharpie ink will also change color/smere if you put on the clear coat too wet.. dust it on
