Default Power locks work only on driver side.

Just been searching for couple of days and don't have time ever to work to long on the car because of my job so I wanted to see where to even start diagnosing the problem.

I have a 97 Civic EX Sedan and the power locks either with the key or by the door switch only works on the driver front and rear door. I don't have a fob and have an aftermarket cd player if that makes a difference.

I would like to get a fob. I believe I have to install a stock stereo or hide it behind the dash to use it to program the fob to the car. But what do I need to look for when I go to purchase them? Deck and fobs together?

Also for some reason the dome light doesn't work with the doors but just in the on position. I tried swapping it out with a good one when I blew out the bulb and switched out the bulb to have nothing working now. So im going to change the fuse but never got around to it. Could it be something else besides the actual dome unit itself?

Thank H-T for the help

You can just jump two terminals in the keyless plug behind the radio to get the dome light working.

Locks - Sounds like you have a broken Yel/Red wire serving the right side lock actuators.

Guess I'll have to find the break in that wire. Time to bust out the test light again.

Ron do you know the color of the wire going into the driver's side door for the locks?

Check inbetween the driver's door and fender as it open.

Nice suggestion but that would have taken forever to locate. I just popped the door handle off and went from there.
