Default DC or Skunk2 Header

Stupid question but I thought I'd ask.

90 integra. B18A1 going all-motor. Going back to school in september. I can get both headers brand new but the difference between the two is $330. Is the skunk2 header worth the additional cash over the DC?

Thanks

No, a cheap used DC would fit without any modification to the exhaust and perform better than stock. The skunk2 would probably give you better whp and be nicer, but i don't think it's worth it. You can find some cheap used DC header on the web.

Yes. the skunk2 header is well worth the extra money. dc headers are crap. why is this even being asked? A good header is one of the most important modifications that you can put on a honda motor.

i have personally seen dyno sheets from many different motors comparing the difference between a stock header and a dc header. you would be surprised.

Why wouldn't you just get one of the popular replicas like a kidd racing header?

I think they're probably all better than skunk2/DC/megan etc.

i wouldn't call the DC header crap, well not for non-vtec setups. one of the highest whp 1.8 non-vtec on pump gas found the best gains with a dc header. a simple search would show you what i'm talking about.

btw, iirc, it might be a "jdm" itr header, but since the 2 are similar, it should yield the same results

...when you find that article your claiming maybe dc can come up off the garbage header department. but not likely. unless your in cali forget DC.
also nice as s2 usually is for an off the shelf basic header it's a wee bit over priced.

hmmm id say either smsp, or a private label MFG would do wonders for now.
